Why the hell are the side doors so difficult to open?

EDIT: (clarified for the bitchy PM4E) Opening the side doors requires far too much force (previous Caravan was much better).

I think the member here (can't remember his name) has a Chevy Venture. He's the guy who drove one from MN to MD to pickup a dirt bike, then headed back home without staying in a hote.

Maybe, he has some tips regarding the van for you.
