<< You can't understand Honda quality until you've driven one for about 50K miles. >>

Having had a Integra, I have driven one;) AND, it had its share of problems, nothing major, but none the less - it wasn't bullet proof. Would I buy another one? Yes, but you have to face the facts. Although Honda puts out some nice cars, they are usually 1. underpowered (4 banger civic and accord) 2. Expensive 3. Dealers are asshokes. I am not dissing the cars, it is just that they are not all that better than the competition.

Looking at appearence and price, Altimas are the way to go.

Poor me, I lost my 2002 Supercharged GTP!

Screw the Altima, you could get a fully loaded Maxima in that price, and you can't say that it has crappy build quality/interior!

I've read ppl on the Maxima.org getting '02 Maximas for ~27K with everything.

Surprisingly the Maximas are cheaper than the Altimas since people are drooling over the Altimas, the dealers won't budge much in price. They would only knock off 3k if I wasn't trading anything in.

And those of you who praise Honda/Acura reliability...head on over to the CL forums and see how many people have had to replace their tranny due to failure on their CL-S!

Now its only one model line, but it does tarnish Acura's reliability (which is still there...don't get me wrong...Honda makes great cars...but they have a problem with their trannies in the CL-S).

<< Just helped a friend of mines purchased a Car.

Dealer priced sticker =$25740.00 w/o tax, license fee, and documents

Got them lower it to =$25200.00 Out the Door :)

EDIT: OUT THE DOOR means Including all tax, License fee, document fee, and whatever else fee the dealer adds

its a 2002 Silver 2Dr Honda Accord Coupe:

Black Leather Seats
200hp V6 Engine
6 disc-CD charge w/ tape and AM/FM
Moon Roof
Keyless entry and Alarm
Automatic shift

Was wondering did we get a lemon or was this a fair deal?
>>

www.edmunds.com is a good place to start

invoice: $23,205 but i dont think that is fully loaded though
figure invoice + tax + other shlt = 2k, this brings the price to $25200 (but you got extras)
so yes, i would say you got a good deal

Sweet car, hauled ass, woodgrain trim int. sunroof, auto, cd changer, everything, too bad it sat in the garage for 8 months undriven.
>>

Why bother buying one at the beginning?
I wonder

<< Looks like lots of people here likes the Altima <----too much commercial IMO.....

Wow just priced out a Altima 240hp 3.5L, w/ leather, sunroof, and anti-lock brakes = $28,000 +tax, license, documents this result ended up in the 31K range. for a Nissan? I don't think so. No doubt its a nicer car with 6K added to it from the Accord.

with 25K u could only get a 175hp 2.5L altima (somewhat loaded)

Dude don't price out an Altima on Carsdirect right cuz they are charging about $1800 over invoice. Everywhere you go dealers are going to gouge you like a mofo if you don't do your homework especially on an Altima right now. I got mine about a $50 below invoice because of a special purchasing program through my brother's job.
>>

you dont need any kind of special program to get $50 under invoice. dealers are making like 3% of the invoice price for each sell. dont ever pay much, if anything, over invoice

a fully loaded altima for around $25k~$27k?????
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
my friend bought one 3 years ago ...the Altima GXE for $16.5k.......ok, it's a 4 cyclinder and not fully loaded (but it's still equipped nicely I would say).....and now, you have to pay $10k more to get a V6 engine and some other options..for me, that's WAY overpriced!...just because the car is good, doesn't mean it's worth that much!

About 2 months ago I bought my wife a 2002 acoord sdn LX We got it for 17,200.. which is a really good price..
