2002 gxe sentra vs 2003 corolla s

As long as it isn't the SE-R, I'd go Corolla. You can't go wrong with Toyota. The Sentra's interior looks like crap and the rear end is fugly.

Well, If its a SE or up, I'd go with the Sentra. If not, I'd go with the Corolla. I like the Sentra alot, its a very solid car and I know a bunch of people that use them for daily drivers. As long as you aren't going to turn it into a street racer, then it will be extremely reliable.

I am big on Toyota, so I'd go with the new Corolla.
Can't beat that Toyota reliability!
Bu, it's your preference, you will be driving it!

<< i dont know anything about cars

how much is the se-r?
17k?

SE-R's can go all the way up to and exceeding 20k

I am a Nissan fanboy. But, unless you get the Sentra SE-R, get the corolla. Sentra is a little sportier, but toyota looks better.
Sentra has a little better rear suspension (multi-link beam ala Maxima vs torsion beam in corolla)
Otherwise Sentra GXE and Corolla S are almost identical spec wise, and you will probably save a grand or 2 on the Sentra over corolla when all is said and done.
When you look at corolla, ask yourself this question. Does it remind you more of Toyota Echo, or the IS 300? If it's the latter, I would get the corolla.

if you're looking for good gas mileage and reliability as firsts.. then i'd definitely say the corolla..

the nissan will probably be faster but it is not worth it.. i currently own a maxima and i'd have to say never again will i ever buy a nissan..

🙁 i would choose the new corolla S. Damn it, i got the 2002 corolla 🙁 i want the new one now, it looks so so so much better.............argggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

the nissan has better performance, but the corrolla has great gas mileage and great reliability.

since mileage and reliabilty is what your looking for the go with the COROLLA 2003.
i test drove it last week, i didnt like it, its boring. my thats mee heehee 🙂

I would buy the 2003 Toyota Corolla if you're concerned about reliability and fuel efficiency.

Actually I wouldn't buy either of those.

I'd get the Honda Civic HX, which is also a very reliable car and Honda's have the best resale value.

dude i feel your pain, the 2003 looks a heck lot better

is stupid, but toyota dealers are still advertising the 2002 corolla on the newspapers
thats stupid

I don't see a comparison here....

low end Sentra vs Corolla S?

the only comparison would be a GXE Sentra vs a Corolla SD or something

or: Sentra SE-R vs Corolla S

I kinda like the new Corolla S.. however, I think the Spec-V will quite easily rip it a new one on the street.. = Sentra wins.

wait a minute... i just saw this pic in the other thread... I think that looks pretty bad... the wheels are like 10" (sarcasm) but far too small anyways, and the rear end looks pretty bad.. much like the new Camry which looks like a huge Daewoo.. Toyota butts are looking like crap lately.. :disgust: I take it back, I wouldn't buy a Corolla S if it actually looked like that.
On the commercial it looked OK.. oh what TV can do to warp the image.... 😛
