8.5 MPG? Ouch. Even my 93 Suburban isn't that bad. My dad and I drove 2200 miles over xmas to Wyoming and averaged 12.6 in a Navigator.

The new Vortec Engines always report bad milage at 1st but after the break in period a few guys I know said they are getting up to 18 out of the 5.3's

Paxton has a nice little project supercharger for these also, cleans that 7.8 0-60 right up
