Well Iv had a 2001fp for a little while. I realised it is quite bright. Well I look in the monitor settings but I see nothing dealing with contrast/gamma. is that a DVI only thing? Or is my monitor defective? :(

someone has to know this. all you have to do is open up your monitors property panel and see if theres gamma and contrast adjustment.

No I don't have a gamma/contrast setting. I can use color to make it brighter or not so bright though.

I just adjust the Gamma and Contrast in the video card drivers when I'm using a flat panel. If you're using DVI, that's the only place you can adjust it.

yeah thats where I adjusted mine. I was just reading the specs on Dells website (looking something up for someone) and it said something about being able to adjust it. ok thanks you put me at rest :)

oh and I cant run DVI yet unfortunatly :( comp freaks out and wont let me get into windows so I jsut gotta wait to build the comp this monitor was bought for :p
