2001FP question

I did post this in another thread but i thought it would be better if i posted it in my own thread so here it is.

I am planning on buying a 2001FP but to save some cash I was considering buying the monitor off ebay. Woul you guys suggest doing this? Alot of them say they are new but do you think they would have dea pixels etc.?

No, I would not buy it off of Ebay. Whatever money you save is not worth the hassle if the monitor is defective or you're not happy with it. Dell offers 30 day money back guarantee. You think Ebay seller is going to refund your money if you're not happy?

I've also heard Dell will only warranty the products if you bought directly from them. So if you buy from a Ebay seller, you might not get any warranty from Dell.

Do you reccomend buying other PC products off ebay? I am in the market for a new PC and want to save quite a bit of cash to get the best I can. Like would you reccomend buying a 6800GT or CPU off ebay?

Yeah, other than the monitor you should be OK purchasing stuff off of ebay. As with any ebay purchase, check the seller's credentials and so on.

dak125 I would buy the 2001fp from you but as of right now I don't have the money. I still have to save up for my comp and everything, but I jsut wanted to know if buying the 2001FP off ebay would be OK. And my questions was answered. Thanks guys

eBay is great for service parts.... ie; replacing broken stuff that you can't buy new anymore or at steep discount anywhere else. ie; motherboards, old ram, etc...

i have bought many things off ebay but it really depends on what you are buying. the only thing i have ever got ripped on was a dlink 604 router
that was "brand new" but didnt come with any retail packaging and was obviously used, i wouldnt have even been so upset but it was broke. i didnt even bother returning it because it was only $25 and i had to pay to ship it back
