Thinking about getting a 2001 Acura CL Type-S. It recently got transmission , belts, water pump, wheels, tires replaced. I know these have bad transmissions. How long can I expect the new one to last? Any other problems I should know about?

Some members on the Acura board were on their 5-8th transmission.

Was the warranty 10 years 100,000 miles?

I wouldn't touch it without warranty. Transmission is an expensive repair.

There was never a fix for it. They just replaced it with another transmission with the same problem.

2003 was the only year that the CL-S was offered with a manual transmission. Personally, I wouldn't buy one without it.
