Happened to look at the points, webmiles, rank, etc for myself and Team Anandtech tonight with United Devices' THINK project. At present we've donated 200 years, 1 day, 14 hours of computing time. Would have been tidier if I'd noticed yesterday I suppose.
Not a special milestone or anything, simply struck me as a time to think about the whole thing. For me it's been 227 days since I read the post in Hot Deals written by a member who's sister had become ill. He humbly requested people consider this if they'd like to do something to help fight cancer, and the mods and (most) users were gracious and offered support. A lot of things have happened in the world since then, and within the project a couple weeks were devoted to anthrax because of some of those world events. And yet cancer's still here. I hope the same is true for the sister of our fellow Anandtecher.
Anyway, no rant, no riot, nothing to see here. Just something I noticed which is making me take a moment, thought I'd pass it along.
