$200 video card

What video card do you recommend for roughly $200 or less and a K8T800?(including soft mods and o/c)(and bundles are appreciated!)

Yea, if you're a patient person (It's a good virtue to have in this case 😛) then the release of ATI and nVidia's new cards will drive their flagship card prices down a good bit when they are released, so wait a bit, then decide between a 9800 pro, or a 5900/5950 ultra. you....CANT LOOOOSE!!!!!!

You "can't loose" ONLY if both ATI and nVidia produce ~equal products for ~equal prices. As we've all seen over the last year or 2...nVidia didn't produce many cards which were ~equal OR better than the cards from ATI (at all price points).

This resulted in ATI charging high prices for their cards upon new release with very small price drops stretched out over a long time period.

Just look at the 9700/9700 Pro as an example...they still sell for ~$190.00 new.

I hope nVidia comes out with some better products this round!!

Because I don't think you're going to find a 256MB 5900 Ultra for anywhere near $200, whereas both the 5900 and now the 9800 Pro are around that price.

9800 Pro at CompUSA for $199 after rebate this week (front page of the Ad). Already sold out online. Maybe in the B&M stores.

I'm thinking I'm gonna pick one of these up tomorrow. Showing "in stock" at all the stores near me. 🙂

Why Pro and Non-Ultra?(shouldn't it be Pro and Ultra?)

no, it shouldnt. why in the world would you pay $100 for 5 frames. and plus, 5900's will hit ultra level quite commonly

$200 dollar made by ATI Radeon 9800 Pro at CompUSA this weekend.

$300 - $70 instantly - $30 MiR = $200 (A great deal)😀

Yes, a VERY good deal. Jump on it.

I know, but they are out of stock everywhere I checked. Also, CompUSA rebates aren't that reliable (I've lost over $200 there over the years).
