My mom is interested in getting a cheap tablet to use around the house and for GPS when my parents go on road trips/vacation. Preferably a 10"+ screen, she thinks the other ones are too small. She likes the size of my grandma's iPad. Her use isn't anything crazy, just browsing the internet and stuff. No gaming, no reading, no watching videos. She'll use it as a GPS sometimes (it'll get added to our Verizon plan for LTE). She only wants to spend around $200. Let me know where I should start looking, I know nothing about tablets.

Looks like she doesn't care about LTE or GPS anymore, they are going to get a GPS unit to use in the car...

So it will just be used around the house on WiFi, if that changes anything.

Could always try a China Tablet if you want something cheap with reasonably decent specs. We had a whole thread on the Onda, which is a blatant iPad Air ripoff that runs Windows 8.1 and has a quad core Bay Trail Atom CPU.

My mom has the Galaxy Tab 8 from a couple years ago. Decent enough for what she uses it for. Which is basically just email and Candy Crush. The used Tab 10.1 linked above isn't much different. Just bigger.

Ended up buying her an Asus Transformer Book T100 today from Adoramo on eBay for $200. Hopefully she'll like it, probably won't use the docking station much but it comes with it.
