$200 and a few hours of labor make a huge difference

Decided that it was time to make a change to the laundry room so I spent just under $200 and put in about 4 hours of labor. See pictures below for the before and after.

I think you need to stop being cheap and get a nice front load washer/dryer on a pedestal for your wife to do your laundry.

The before picture was actually taken 2.5 years ago when I first moved into the house. I was still in the process of unpacking.

I redid the living room and dining room during Superbowl weekend.

Both rooms used to have carpet. Living Room Before

As you can see in the picture of the Dining Room, I also have repainted in the kitchen. Original Kitchen

minendo - how many cartons of the laminate did you use for your living room? I saw that the other day when I was walking through. (I re-did my bathroom, was thinking of putting in some laminate hardwood in the bedroom as the next project) Was it overly difficult to install, any links to how to install?

Looks better mate.

I've taken out some fireplace bricking, stripped wallpaper out of this room, sanded down the walls and in 4hrs I'll go and paint it. Paint some more tomorrow. Next monday I have a gas guy coming in to take out the fireplace and the surrounding thing, pedestal. Then I get laminate flooring for the hallway, louge and the dining area. Then I can plaster some bits in the lounge. And then I can start moving my stuff!

I can't wait to have all of this done and I can start furnishing my pad!!!!!
