My kids loved the Mahna Mahna! video whenever I showed it to them on youtube. I need to find some Muppet Show videos from Netflix and let them see what Daddy used to see growing up.

I remember the day Jim Henson died because I remember how sad I felt about it. Most famous people that die I don't pay much attention to, but Henson had a huge effect on me and in a lot of ways shaped what I ended up doing as a job. I think he would be amazed at what can be done with tech now. His studio is still going strong today.

Jim Henson had a huge effect on me.

When discussing film and television, I'm always quick to point out that a show like Dinosaurs would never be made today due to CGI and the fact that it wouldn't be special or worth doing with CGI. Truly the end of an era.

He died from a series of things Streptococcus pyogenes. I always thought it was just pneumonia. He did not go to the hospital for a second checkup. Oh well, sad after I read this. He was awesome at what he did.
