Yeah, let's waste $1M+ of lost tax revenue and incarseration, legal, and medical expenses for 20 years, and ruin some guys life because he had to go to the bathroom at the wrong time. That makes tonnes of sense.
Much better use of $1M than say giving full scholarships to 10 deserving students, or providing life saving antibiotics to 10000 people in third world countries, or even buying a cruise missle for the military.
Not to mention turning away even more people from flying than there were upto now. If I want to be strapped to my seat the whole time, I'll just put myself in a box and ship it fedex overnight. 😀 >>





get real. By the story, its seems obvious that he acted disrespectfully and beligerantly. I'd wager he only went to the bathroom to spite the rule. Its also obvious he wont get 20 years, so dont even bring that up.

Thanks god the marshalls were on board!!! Who knows, perhaps the "thumbs-up" was a secret code to take over the plane.

I hope no one who thinks like this is ever in a situation where they face 20 years of incarceration for something silly.
 
yeah, i want to know what they mean by "the marshalls took control of the plane" I can just see those guys wiping out guns and people screaming all over the place.

Listen, I don't really hope this guy gets 20 years. I do hope the judge makes it painful for him though. He was extremely stupid. What do you think would have happened to him if he decided to use the forward head instead of the aft one? People need to realize that the days of saying "Yeah whatever" when the stew said something to you are over. Unfortunately a few retards have to learn the hard way. It is perfectly understandable why people don't want to fly. Although, I am not subject to it, the security checks look like a pain in the ass.
