20 to 16 pins

Hello,

Today I received a new power adapter, it has 20 + 4 pins. But my mainboard only has 16 pins. What should I do? My computer is from Fujitsu and they don't have any other power adapters.

Can I just cut the other 4 pins away? Or will it destroy the power adapter?

Should I send it back?

I searched on Google for a 24 to 16 pin adapter, I didnt find one. The only adapter works only for dell.

My mainboard: D3402-A1
The power adapter I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018ILWI52/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Sorry for my bad English.

I'm only finding pictures/info for the D3402-B but that has a standard 24 pin connector. If your motherboard is different, you'd need to find a pinout diagram for your board.

I can't find pics of your exact motherboard, so it might be helpful to provides pics of the power connector. The closest one, the 3402-B, appears to have a regular 20 pin connector on it at Fujitsu's website.

Also, provide the model number of your PSU.
