I'm watching MTV2 right now, there was some video with a few rappers hanging around their Escalde with 20" rims, as they say in their lyrics?

Is there any advantage of putting 20" rims on a SUV, or do they just kill whatever SUV capablites it once had?

Besides, I still dont understand why alot of these rap videos, they are rather perplexed by 20" rims and Caddy Escalades. Lost, explaination needed.

1.)They're big
2.) They're shiny
3.) They represent wealth. 20's and up, with tires, are expensive as hell. Same reason why they buy Escalades, ice and drink cristal, to flaunt their wealth.

And no, there are no advantages to 20's. They're heavy, and i'm pretty sure they kill the SUV capabilities. Not like they would use it or anything.

I saw a Escalade with those 20" rims that have that extra part that just keeps on spinning. Sad thing, a white guy was driving it... Was near Southlake, TX.

A Cadillac Escalade with 20" rims represents $$. All the ni**az are about the *bling bling* these days. Yeah, it probably loses its SUV capabilities, but it sure as hell looks a lot better and costs a lot more :D.

You mean they have off-road capabilities? How many SUV's out there besides Jeeps and Hummers are anything but giant plastic pieces of crap with no off-road ability, not much more cargo space than a station wagon and not more than a minivan, crappy brakes and handling, etc?

The only advantage they have is maybe in the winter in rural areas, other than that?

the bigger the rim, the better it looks.

and since the escalade is the cadillac of SUV's ;) it's the perfect combo.. (SUV's are in thesedays)

although i'd not own one myself, I've seen Yukons and Escalade's with huge rims, it's pretty cool looking.

Go to the local bookstore and grab the mag. called Dubz.

Pretty funny..All these SUVs hopped up on 20+ size rims.

haha. good call.

the only advantage of larger rims on an suv is looks. The won't go offroad at all (not that you'd take your escelade off raod).. and if you did happen to get it off road, you'd probably completely destroy your rims.

I've seen 20 inch rims on used Mercedes Benz cars down in the ghetto.

You must thinking about 22 or 24 inch rims for the Cadillac Escalade.

I saw 20's on a Benz in my schools ramp garage...They were the, IMO, ugliest rims I've ever seen...a majority of the rim was solid, and it just looked wack :D

SUV's had capabilities in teh first place? i'm sure you really need 4wd (or whatever) for those dangerous Cali freeways and stuff....but yeah, it's just for bling bling appeal

i see escalades with 23's and stuff all the time

i used to really hate it, but i'm starting to like bling bling escalades and denali's

Only the useful capabilities., It doesn't lose SUV capability to gulp down a gallon of gas every 12miles, ability to destroy other significantly in an accident and vulnerability to tipping over.
