20 photos that will leave you speechless

So sad, the lone Russian WW2 solider waiting for his comrade's to come, he was probably the only one left alive in his old unit..

Only one I really didn't get was the diner one. Ignorance is bliss? I went to Atlantic City with the GF and happily munched on breakfast with homeless people in plain view. Not my fault they're homeless, and there's nothing I can do to make them not-homeless, so why should I feel responsible?

None of those really left me speechless; this did when I first saw it. Incredible; thinking about what those people considered important. What they thought about the world. What they did, or were doing, less than fifteen years later, when the most powerful nations on the planet tried to end each other, ultimately unleashing the power of the atom to end the conflict.

A hundred years from now, will people look at our shitty videos and think the same thing?

The 6th photo was indeed surreal and the 7th is indeed ignorant. The Undulating clouds looks like something Vincent Van Gogh painted.

The one that had the most profound effect on me was the mass grave photo with the guy kneeling at the edge. Humans are assholes.

Respects to the soldier in the first picture.
Most shocking for me was the turkish teasing with starving children and a Jewish person moments before being shot.

what was the regina walters photo? the 6th one now is the one about the jews, which while it's pretty powerful, it didn't deserve the hype that the title said. i was kinda like wtf about them hyping up that picture, but now i see there was another 6th picture that is gone.

As to the photo with the wind turbine on fire. On know they infil/exfil via the tubular structure rising from the ground that supports the machinery at top. The access panel is towards the rear, so the fire was blocking access to it.

I wonder if they know have some sort of climbing rigging gear that they could easily hook up in the front in case of an emergency and make a manual descent. The blades aren't spinning when they are up there anyway.

Considering these Wind Turbines kill some 440,000 birds, often birds of prey which is important, maybe they are fighting back.

Powerful pictures all the way around, thanks for sharing OP.

Undulating clouds is prettiest, most powerful to me was seeing the jews walking up the hill with a four year old there, who otherwise could have been killed.
those pictures did nothing for me.

I guess that makes me dead inside..
Jokes aside, it partly does. At the least it shows you're not in touch with your humanity as much as others who found relevance in these. You may grow out of being so self-centered and devoid of empathy, though, as you get older.
