I'm trying to get my sound working in redHat 7.2 on an IBM thinkpad 600E. None of this modprobe ALSA crap makes any sense.

If you know what you're doing, and can get this configured, I WILL paypal you $20US.

You have to recompile the kernel with the correct sound drivers.

Thinkpad's will not work properly unless you have some form of pirated software installed.
