20% off video games software and accessories more than $20 at Circuit City

If you get Circuit City's frequent e-mails, it pays to check out the one they just sent out. Normally I just delete them, but this one is awesome. They are giving a 20% off coupon out. However, it appears to be a personalized code, as it comes in the form of a barcode which is printed off and then brought into the store. It also has a 16 digit code with the bar code which will work too. So, YMMV as to whether or not you received the e-mail, but just letting you all know about it.

I got it too, thanks! Does anyone know how much HL2 is in store? I searched on the web and I can only find the collectors edition for $80.

It's for video games only.

Wouldn't HL2 be a video game?

Video games are typically console games, while computer games are PC Games.... Slight difference, but i believe this sale is only for console games.

Well, I don't remember getting an email from them like this before. The bar code and serial number are barely legible on my laser printer. Probably wouldn't work via inkjet.
It just seems out of character for them.

They do it occationally. When i used to work at CC a few months back we used to get printed out coupons from time to time.

okay I have tried it. it too damn blurry. that I logged to my email account and they copied down the number.

also the Coupon is only valid for 1 item. my understanding was in the email "Offer good for one use only and applies to total qualifying purchase on a single sales receipt." meant coupon can only be used once ie you can't buy today, come back tomorrow and use again. but it would be 20% every game on the reciept that was 19.99 or up.

well apparently its not. the computer would discount off one game. tried repeatedly and nothing happened. I still took my 3 games. I needed it but still ain't happy.

anyone know if we all got the same coupon code? if so I"m gonna go to another store.

Mine started with a 70Y and ended with 895

Thanks for telling me I should keep checking my e-mail. I was planning to just do nothing with it.

crap much lately? You're off to a great start on the forums.

Yep that's it and the one I got, it wouldn't scan at the store so the CSR overrode the price on Tony Hawk Underground 2 down to $32 (it's on sale today and tomorrow for $40). Someone I know will be happy on Saturday morning. 😀

Printed it, seemed to be normal quality, but it wouldn't scan at the store. They entered the number in manually, and it did nothing. 15 minutes later, they took 20% manually. Also, this isn't limited to one item, its all qualifying items on one receipt. I got two games and a controller.

Chronicles of Riddick is only $29.95 (anyway) for a great (looking and well-reviewed) game . . . $6 more off is a good deal . . . i got mine today.

I'm interested about consoles as well. I want Mario Kart Double Dash, but I may buy the whole Gamecube bundle if the 20% off works. Unless someone know where to get Double Dash cheaper...?
