There are 3 different types of the optical mouse:
Wheelmouse Optical - $35
Intellimouse Optical - $55
Intellimouse Exploer - $75

You guys were referring to different ones. By the way, you can get the Wheelmouse Optical for $20 at Fry's B&M.
