but i right-clicked and saved picture, to facilitate the saving of paper later

If using the IE browser, you could save the complete webpage on your harddrive [File > Save As > Web Page, complete]. It'll save the HTML & any assocaited artwork.

If you need to bring it to work/school to print out, zip up the contents on your harddrive & e-mail it to yourself.

has anyone been able to use this coupon? the lady at the counter said the coupon wasn't accepting in the computers and that it said the coupon had been used before. only after calling a manager did she finally say the coupon wasn't valid with "net" books. (basically any computer/tech book) seemed shady to me. perhaps this coupon is of the one-time use variety?

if anyone's used it, please let me know and i'll go back and try again.

Thanks Murpheeee! This is the last day for this coupon and it is *really* worth using because it can be applied on top of existing discounts. I bought a tech book which was $59.99 before 30% off. The guy at the checkout gave me 50% off with this coupon and so I paid about $25. Wooohooo!! One thing though...

Watch out for books that have the word "NET" below the price on the price sticker. This means that Borders are not getting any sort of discount on the book from the publisher and therefore won't give *you*one. And another thing...

When you are at the checkout make sure you give them your email address so that you will get the coupons directly next time.

So does what work... your brain? Didn't I just tell you I used it today. However, you have got to really insist in order to get them to apply it to already discounted books. The managers seem to be in the know but the checkout staff aren't.

My wife went in later and got 50% off another book. Nice!

BTW did you spot the problem in my previous post? They made a mistake at the checkout and gave me a 60% discount. I didn't notice until I had long left the store otherwise I would have put it right.
 
Wow, hadn't been in Borders for awhile. They are expensive (for books). Buying at amazon (often 30% off) or BN online with coupons is so much cheaper.

Like most stores they charge the retail price. On tech books however they often have 20% or 30% off. Even 20% off is as good as Amazon's 30% when you take postage into account... and you get the book immediately. However...

Did you know they will soon be starting "Buy at Amazon, Collect at Borders"?
 
amazon takes money orders 😱? i didn't think so, i never see anyway out of cc entry when i've searched for product reviews and such
