I just got my Febuary issue of PC Gamer and noticed there is a BB coupon in it, page 29.

"20% off any PC game of your choice $19.99 and up" "good at best buy stores only"

If you are not a subscriber though...it is going to cost you $4.99 to buy the mag. So unless you want it anyway, you would have to buy a game that is at least $25 to get your money back for the mag.

If you get a $40 game though.

40 <game>
-8 <20% coupon>
----
32
+5 <PC Gamer mag>
----
$37

So in the above example, you save $3 on the game and get the PC Gamer mag for free. Not smoking hot, but I worth a post.

Good through 3/30/02

"no copies", "limit one per coupon per title, per customer" <??>, "not good in combination with other coupons or offers"

too bad it can't be used in combo with the 10%preferred customer sale this week; I'll probably give it a try though

Just rip the coupon out of a PC Gamer at the store, ;)

---

You may take a week away for advocating fraud. I hope you do not post such garbage when you return.

You may take a week away for being rude enough to actually commit such fraud and stupid enough to post it, here.

Don't those mags come sealed in plastic anyway? So wouldn't you have to rip the plastic off to get at the coupon?

I still can't believe someone had to suggest that, and moreover that some twit bragged about it.

Scary... on the other hand.. I could use that coupon right now, but the game I want is $19.99, so its a wash.

SlickPants this is not on a card that just... aahummm falls out. It is a page in the mag. These clowns actually had to tear it out. Its not even perferated.

Most magazine retailers receive credit for unsold magazines by simply tearing off the cover of the old magazines and sending them to the distributor, then recycling the rest. If you can find out the rotation schedule of their magazines you can simply drop by and probably get all of their feb issues for free when the march issue hits.

My brother works for a magazine distributor. Based on what I know from him working there, I don't think this is the case. Even the employees can't get magazine returns very easily, so I doubt they'd allow someone outside get them. And if you mean you can get them from the store before they are returned, I doubt that as well, since the stores get credit for returned issues.

I worked for a store that sells magazines a while back and this was not the case. We had to return the whole magazine to get credit. However, chances are the distributors don't check every page of the magazine so ripping it out may work anyway.

What's on the back of the coupon? With our luck, it's a hot picture of that Aida chick from Unreal 2!
