The only catch is that very few of the fans have free shipping right now. That's a bummer. Usually there are more with free shipping. 3 Scythe s-flex fans cost $8.48 to ship, and the 20% discount is only $10. Not gonna bite this time.

Not thread-crapping, just pointing out Newegg's little ploy. I really wanted to jump on this. I love the S-flex I got for $12.50 with free shipping from Newegg a few months ago.

sorry guys...thought this was a sweeter deal than it actually is b/c i needed to purchase several 80mm fans, and shipping on those is just $1.99. i didn't research the larger fans to see what shipping is on those units...really its only a decent deal if you just built a PC and are in need of more than just a fan or two, or if its time for a case cooling upgrade...

...fortunately i did not label this one a "hot deal"...i just thought i'd post it up in case anyone else is currently in the market for some case fans like me.

Interesting. I can't get that to work on the 1200rpm fans, but for the 800rpm units, that's a steal (because there's also a bulk discount).

yep, just confirmed it myself. actually, all you you can get as few as 2 of those fans, and UPS Guaranteed 3-day shipping is free. on a side note, although the Scythe S-FLEX SFF21Ddoesn't move much air at 800rpm, they are dead silent. so if you don't need to dissipate tons of heat, and a quiet machine is what you're after, this is a great fan. i have two of them installed in the PC in my master bedroom - in addition to the various other fans it has in it, i can't even tell that the computer is turned on when i go to bed at night - and this is despite the fact that its doing DC projects at 100% CPU load 24/7.

also, upon confirming the above shipping charges (or lack thereof), i tried the 20% off promo code just for the heck of it, and even though the promo isn't supposed to start until 12:01 PST/3:01 EST, its most definitely up and running already.

Yeah I got this in a email but the fans I buy (The speeze/massflow 80mm) still comes out to at least $1.60-$1.80 a piece. I want the original good deal they used to have for $.99 shipped each if you buy 10.

It inspired me to replace the apparently seized up 120mm (surprisingly) Dynatron Top Motor fan I have in the comp. However, Newegg couldn't beat Ebay.
