We all know how popular the DELL 2001FP is and it's on sale right now for about $850. But I don't order from dell, thier lead time and CS just suck Plus they flaked on about $900 in rebates I had coming. So I've written Dell off as a viable choice.

So far I've seen the NEC MultiSync LCD2080UX+

It appears the screen does'nt swivel, not a big deal. It's price around $1200 which is considerably more than the dell.


Also the LG Electronics L2010P for $1100

What other options are out for this screen branded different? Appreciate hearing your experiance with whatever screen that will not ghost or do so minimally.

CS = customer service which IMO opinion SUCKS bigtime with Dell. its not bad enough that their left hand doesnt know what their right hand is doing but it also sucks that 99% of the time when you call Dell's CS you get someone overseas in India who can barely speak a lick of english. that alone makes me dread having to call CS for anything because I cannot having to stand repeating myself and I almost always have to with them people in India.

as for the "lead time". he's probably talking about from the time that Dell takes your order to the time when you actually get the product. again, Dell doesnt know what their left hand is doing from their right hand because I have ordered from them SEVERAL times now and almost always by the time I'm emailed a UPS tracking #, my package is already sitting on my front door. so you really cant go by Dell's estimated ship times cuz that doesnt mean d*ck.

*on a side note*

I have the 2001FP and its great. I've had zero problems with it (once I found one with no dead pixels) and it does an excellent job at playing any kind of game that I can throw at it.

Not to turn this into a bash dell thread, but you're 100% right.🙂 I was just laying out real quick for the peeps come in here and tell me to get the dell for $200-300 less why I never will. Monies easy to get back time and fustration are impossible.
