I'm curious about something. Wouldn't a 20" widescreen LCD actually have a smaller viewable area than a 19" 4:3 CRT? Because in both cases you are measuring from one corner to the other, but in the widescreen case the height is so much smaller. I think the best way to measure monitor size would be to give the square inches of viewable area.
Can you please meaure the width and height of the viewable area on your LCD so I can compare with my 19" CRT?
Here's what I get for my monitor:
14.4" x 10.8" = 155.5 square inches viewable area
I'd appreciate anyone's input on this. if you have a widescreen about 19-20"
Edit: nevermind guys, I just did the math on my own, for a 20.1" widesrcreen is should be
17.0" x 10.7" = 181.9 square inches viewable
So it is bigger
