I bought two D-Link DI-614+ routers with the hopes of being able to route one segment of my network on one wireless router to the other wireless router which is connected to the server that is my firewall that shares my internet access.

is this possible using the DI-614+? i also have a linksys wireless router that i will need to do this with, how can i accomplish this? thanks.

u could use one of the dlinks as an access point, but then i think the ports would be useless.

internet ====== lan 1 =========router 1 ------------------------- router 2 ============ lan 2

= hard wired
- wireless

lan 1 has a server that is running ISA Server 2000 which is my firewall and internet sharing.

this is what i want to do, i have a seperate switch which connects all my computers, and then one port leads to the router 1 for the first lan segment. i have no porblems connecting to any of my computers using an access point in this config.

i now want to use the switch built into the router for lan 2 and use rotuer 2 to connect wirelessly to router 1 which acts as a gateway for router 2 and other adapters that connect to router 1

email from d-link:

You cant use 2 DI-614+ that way you want to would need to take one back and get
an access point in order to do what you want a type of access point you need is
a DWL5000AP or DWL6000AP or DWL900+AP
