Have the v220 logitech mouse. as with other logitech stuff, it is quite amazing :) but it could be a bit bulky if you are looking for ultimate portability. but for $10!!!?!! its worth every penny!

I picked up the v220 from Circuit City a few weeks ago for the same advertised AR price, but they also had an additional $3 instant-off code that made the final actual after-rebate price around $9.15 including tax. A super-awesome deal for a really nice mouse.

The only thing that I'm not totally happy with is the way the Logitech software works with (or doesn't quite work with) the Alps touchpad driver on my Dell laptop. The Logitech program install detected the Alps driver and offered to install itself in a way that should not cause conflicts, but the Alps driver causes problems with mouse acceleration on my v220. The Alps mouse acceleration setting and the Logitech acceleration setting add together and makes the cursor move super fast when I use my v220. If I disable acceleration in the Alps driver, the v220 works properly but the Alps touchpad moves the cursor very slowly onscreen. If I disable acceleration in the Logitech driver with Alps acceleration enabled, the Alps touchpad works properly and the v220 works adequately. However, cursor movement isn't quite as smooth on the v220 when using the Alps driver's acceleration setting. It's not the worst thing in the world, but could be a tiny bit better.

Yeah, Logitech drivers are a little screwy. Their hardware is awesome though.

I do wish one of these were bluetooth, but oh well. Going to have to go pick one up after work. Thanks OP.

which one of these mice is better? i won't totally disregard kensington as i've had a kensington mouse in the past and it was pretty good, no big problems, lasted a long time.

i like how the kensington looks really portable and how you can store the wireless receiver in the mouse (at least that's what it looks like in the pics of it on newegg), and i like how you can use it as a wired mouse, but i'm not 100% sold.

which one has better battery life?

which one has a better sensor?

which one is more durable?

and probably my biggest question:

which one has better linux support (specifically ubuntu)?

EDIT:

I found this article on the product description page for the kensington mouse on newegg:

http://s3.amazonaws.com/Tentoe...et_Journal_-_Ci75m.pdf

after reading it i'm now leaning toward the logitech, but i still kinda want to go check out both mouses in person before i make my decision.
