Today I received 2 consoles 🙂 and the build date is almost 3 years newer 🙂


I thought MS would re-refurbish my console and send it back, is it normal to get a newer console?

I've not heard a single thing about them changing the warranty for the newer Jasper models, so ya, you still get the implied warranty.

The warranty on my old unit expires this month (the rrod 3 yr warranty) but I just registered this unit online so it appears that I should have a new 3 year rrod warranty + 1 year normal warranty.

Life is good 😉
 
Maybe they ran out of storage space for duds and thought it'd be cheaper to just ditch it on you.

Or Sam the Mule hid his 5 kilos of crack-cocaine in one of those boxes and will make a visit to your house in the next week...
 
Damn, last time I sent mine in I got the same one back. Maybe the third time will be the charm and I can get a newer one.

I spoke to a CS rep on the second about getting an extra console and she didn't know what to do so today a CS supervisor called today and left a message saying that they will be sending a return label.....
