LMAO at the morons defending these people.

They deserved to be put out on the streets again somehow.

Yea, it's sad to know there are people with this poor unethical character out there.

werd.

There is nothing that anyone can tell me that will justify this "poor" couple's actions. If they didn't like the area, didn't want the home, it was their duty to find someone else who was displaced by Katrina and offer it to them (or else let the church do that for them).

I would imagine that after they piss most of the money away on crack, that they'll go knocking on another Church's door with the same story looking for a handout. I hope this story gets around enough to stop them next time.

Did they go to the church begging for help? Or did the church come to them and offer help?

"They came in humble like they really needed a new start, and our hearts went out to them," said Jean Phillips, a real estate agent and member of the Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ. "They actually begged for the home."

Something's weird there. I can't imagine walking into a church and begging them to buy me a home. "Begged for the home" - sounds like they knew a home was available to someone... The people in the church did a pretty piss-poor job of screening "applicants."

While I'll agree that the house flippers are scum bags, the people in the church were pretty stupid.

We have plenty of thesse Katrina evacuess here in the Houston area, I wish they'd all go home, especially the ones who made the crime rate go up so sharply.
