Anyone using Athlon64 and operating two sticks of double-sided memory modules with a
200 MHz clock rate (DDR400 alias PC3200) and with no problem at all
(stable)?

Athlon 64 seems cannot using two sticks of double-sided memory in DDR400? no matter s754 or s939..
WTF!!!

so how about 1 stick double-sided memory and 1 stick single-sided memory are working fine?

We were very pleased to find that 3 DS DIMMs (1.5GB) of memory worked fine at the same aggressive timings we used for 2 DIMMs. Even though Chaintech does not recommend running 3 double-sided DIMMs in the VNF3-250, we found the 3 DIMMs worked with complete stability. In fact, this is the first Athlon 64 board we have tested that could run three DS DIMMs at 2-2-2 timings. Most Athlon 64 cannot even run 3 DIMMs, though we are seeing a few nF3-250 boards that can handle 3 DIMMs without a problem.

How do I tell if the memory sticks on newegg (or elsewhere) are single sided? It doesn't say in the description. Also some of the heatspreader ones hides the markings on the modules.

Go to the product link on newegg. The manufacture will tell you the chip specs, or you're buying shatty memory. Shat memory=shat system, keep that in mind.

Make sure your command rate is set to 2T. A64's are notoriously picky about memory.

I have two double-sided Corsair XMS 3200C2 modules doing DDR400 on my K8N-E Deluxe, does that help? Clawhammer 3000+ here.
