2 sound cards?

I have two soundcards, a herc GTXP and onboard sound.
I was wondering if I can enable both soundcards and use both of them in windows. Kind of like two different audio channels. And also be able to assign applications to different sound cards.

Can I do this using windows 2k?
 
They would probably work together, I have had even 3 soundcards in one machine. I don't know how flexible W2k is, but theoretically you can choose diffferent audio outputs on different programs...
 
I am sure you can (many musicians do this IIRC), but have never tried it. Since you already have them both, why don't you just enable the onboard sound and mess around with it?
