i was actually toying with this idea too, but wasn't sure how to go about it, i have a klipsch 2.0-400 set right now, and i wanted to add a set of logitechs, would this be feasible? 2 400 watt sets on teh same computer??
I have a pair of Monsoon MH-500 , and a set of JBL something.. i forgot which model. The Jbls are just sitting therewondering if i could put them to use...
i actually posted something about this earlier this week.
a fellow ATer said that if there were 2 subwoofers, they could cancel each other out. then you wouldnt hear any bass at all. if you didnt want this to happen you would have to stack each other out.

Wait a second...can I hear the scientifics of how 2 subwoofers could "cancel each other out?"
and if you were to actually do this, place the subwoofers so that the sound doesnt hit each other.
and since you cant really hear where bass is coming from, you should be fine putting them anywhere in the room.
and if you have a game theater XP, i would also think about using one set for the front/rear center for 6.1 setup, and have to extra sattelites that arnt used.

I have 2 sets of speakers and each set has there own sub. I just plugem right into my SBLive card and it works out very well with the mixer in the Creative software.

They would I suppose when each of the waves are 180º out of phase, however the dispersion patters are going to be fairly irregular I'd imagine.
I don't think two sets would sound good at all. Well let me rephrase that, not sure if there's any advantage to it. Generally when you have speaker sets you want there to be some sort of voice matching between all the speakers.
there's not going to be a real advantage to using 2 sets as far as I can see. However If you've 2 seperate sets already go to ratshack and buy two 1/8" splitters and try it out.
