I recently built an ahtlon 64 machine. I bought two western digital 320GB sata hard drives. I connected both to the computer as they came (i dont think any jumpers were on them). On the post screen they are both listed. I installed winXP on one of them, but when windows was done installing, it only showed one hard drive in "my computer". However, in the device manager, it lists both of them.

im not at my pc right now, and wanted to know what to do. i was thinking its 1 of 2 things... either i need jumpers so i have a master/slave setup. or when i installed winXP i only formated one HD for NTSF (i think thats the term) and I left the other alone, and I need to format the second one. Any advice is appreciated.... im running:
dfi nforce4 board
2 gigs of geil pc3200
2 WD 320GB SATA HDs
Athlon 64 3000+
Sapphire x700pro 256mb

thanks

right click mycomputer>manage>disk management you should see the drive with no drive letter, initialize the drive then format and bingo drive will be available.
