2 Quick HL/CS questions...

1) When you reinstall Half-Life, does it keep track of all your favorite servers, or do you need to set them again.
2) Anyone know of any good CS websites, or any good tactics/weapons/etc I should use? I suuuuuuuuuck.

you don't suck... most of the players on CS are cheating, and it's nothing Goosman can do about it, he even said that he's not to preocupied by cheating and it's not that big an issue for him, he even admitted to the aimbot cheat. Unless you get a good bunch it's a totally useless game your only there as target practice for other lamers that are there for the only reason to piss you off. There are 7 cheats that I know of in HL and until valve steps in and has the balls to do something about it, the lame game is just a waste of time. I still play HL sometimes, but numbers and winning or loosing mean absolutely nothing. Just to give you an idea, CS is based on ambush, camping and strategy, when you have an Asus card like I do and you enable extra light or seethrough you can see where everyone is camping, or getting ready for an ambus or the other teams strategy instantly no matter what version of CS is released. Makes the game utterly useless to play. I'm not saying that everyones a cheater but the thing is you never know who is and when the entire other team has seethrough why be their lab rat and play.

I know there are cheats, but maybe I've been lucky, because all the servers I've played on recently I've been getting nice kill/death ratios (between 1:1 to 2:1, at least it seems good to me), and from what I can tell, people haven't been cheating. I don't necesarily just want a game where the playing surface is extremely even and cheating isn't possible, just a fun game. Yes, there'll always be cheaters, but that's something we have to live with.

The cheats I know of are: Aimbot and See through walls (requires those damn asus drivers though). What are the others?

they still haven't fixed the Skin cheats, this one draws a Big RED circle around you so you can't hide anywhere without being seen, and it draws a lazer line on where the other guy is aiming so you can see a sniper aiming your way even before you turn the corner. I have screenshots at home I'll put them up on a webpage during the weekend to show you all. Guys don't get me wrong I do like this game and when you get a good game going it's great. But sometimes it's so evident that it's just so sick and you just have to leave and find another server. It's just a matter of time before these cheats eventually get everywhere. All valve needs to do is hardcode the damm game and skins and when you log onto WON for example you get a checksum to see if the code matches, but nooooo. and Even that wont fix the Asus seethrough or extra light. If Asus can do it, it's just a matter of time before others pop-up.

I don't see why Asus decided to release drivers which would fsck up gaming in general. It's a good marketing tactic, because now people will buy their stuff to use the drivers, but I'd like to slap around the guy who thought it was a good idea. As for the skin cheats, your ideas are good, but dedicated cheaters will probably still find ways to crack the program and have it send the correct checksum.
