2 questions

I considered a wallet case, until I realized how much I had my phone out using it. I don't want to be holding all my cash + cards with my phone all the time. Better to just get a slim wallet that doesn't take up much room.

Registration stays in the vehicle

Car registration/insurance leave in the glove box? Yes.

Is it not bad to have a car registration available to thieves? What do cops need it for if not to check you're the valid owner (though names don't have to match because of spouses / lending to relatives)? Also your home address is readily available if they want to burglarize your home too. Just some points for against.

These 2 questions are related - the wallet case has limited space (and I don't want it to be bulky) so I'm figuring out what I can leave out. So far, 2 CCs, license, and my/kids health insurance info written on a tiny piece of paper.

Here's another tip: don't wear white framed sunglasses. Those are a woman's domain also.
