2 Questions =)

1) Is it true that 32Bit version of windows only allows 1Gb of memory per application?
2) Does either 32Bit/64Bit Windows have problems when u have up to 4Gb of Ram?

Thanks 😀

1.) 2GB
2.) There are variables to this one. There are no issues with 64-bit Windows or 32-bit server editions with this at all. Plain 32-bit Windows can only address up to 4GB, minus addressing space required by hardware and may be additionally limited to 3GB by XP with SP2 and a DEP capable CPU.

By default, 32-bit Windows allows each process to use up to 2GB of memory, IIRC. Not sure exactly what you're asking with your second question though.

Edit: I'm slow 😛

1) 2GB is correct
2) 32bit Windows can only address 4GB, which ends up actually being about 3.6GB-3.7GB after addressing space etc... But when longhorn comes out, you wont have to worry about this.

RoD

EDIT: Longhorn and Vista are the same thing.
