The 770 is the better of the two. It has higher refresh rate (85 @ 1024 vs 60 @ 1024)

Closest OD B&amp;M is a 2 hour drive.
We got one of the compusa pixie cv770's last night when my fiancee's monitor died.
She says black text on white is sort of blurry when you get close to it, otherwise seems pretty good.
It doesn't have an invar shadow mask, hitachi or sony tube so it's no killer. It's a plain old .27dp 17&quot; monitor. On the bright side it has a 3yr warranty.
I got a 21&quot; Iiyama with Sony tube a couple of years ago. It was a refurb but it's worked great for $400. On the other hand the 17&quot; refurb I got for my fiancee was a real P.O.S...
I'd say this monitor is well worth the $99.

I got one of the Pixie 770 monitors on the Staples deal (about $60 assuming rebates work out) a couple of weeks ago. Well, it started to make a burning smell in the back after a couple of hours of use. I will take it back for a swap (or refund if available). Yes Pixie does have 3 year warranty but no local/regional depot service - ie you have to ship it back to them in CA which is not so great if you have to ship from the side of the country.

If you are shipping from the other side of the country Pixie has a repair facility in New Jersey. Sent one there a couple of months ago. Cost to ship it was only $16 so not a real big deal.

You guys should've done the pixie deal from OD right after New Years... I got the 770C from Staples for about $45 after rebate and tax. Pixie isn't the greatest brand, but I need me a 'holdmeover' until I can afford a 19&quot; or flatscreen!!!!!! My friend has gone through 2 pixie monitors, like i said they're not the greatest brand, he told me to go for a viewsonic or sony because they won't break down on you! but being the broke-ass college student i am.. i got the pixie
