2 people. 4 Days. $600. Vegas.

My wife and I are leaving for Vegas on the 11th and will be spending 4 days there. We only have $600 between the two of us to spend there. What kind of shows/buffets/gambling do you guys suggest? Any tips?

stay away from the slots and stick to table games. Blackjack, craps, or baccarat are your'e best odds.

Is lodging seperate or included in that $600?

i'd trust the slots more than i would the dealers....its all rigged i tell ya!
Seriously, my uncles friend that was up there, he was playing the slots, for a while, and some guy came up behind him in a suit, and waved his hand, and then BAM he won 600 dollars, i tell ya its all rigged.

slots have terrible payouts, about 80-90%. Usually the former, but when you start playing larger demonimation machines ($5 coins x 3 max bet), then payouts come up to about 95% or so.

1 pair of handcuffs - $40
1 assortment of oils and lotions $50
5 rufi's $50
Getting a hooker up to your room $200

....

1 shovel $25
1 sack of lime $15
1 can of air freshener $3

That leaves $217 for the slots!

<== somebody saw Very Bad Things recently... 😉

My friends parents just got back a few days ago from Vegas...

they came back with a $2,500 profit, which includes 2 $1,000 jackpots on slots (not sure what they were playing)... Not a bad investment if your lucky...

$600 won't get you much legally. You won't get arrested for it, but they'll clean out more than just your balls.

What hotel/casino are you staying at.

Most buffets are around $5-7 Breakfast $8-10 lunch and $10-12 dinner.
If they are runing specials then dinner goes from $15-30.

The slots start at a penny and go up.

Cab fares will run you about $5 per trip.

Shows will cost from $10-$50 per person. Tickmaster will have listings.

Some casinos have a sales booth for real-estate(for suckers) set up where they will offer you free food and/or show to spend 1 hour listening to a sales pitch.

If you are staying on the strip, and want to sightsee, yo can spend a whole day just looking at the different scenarios in each casino and taking pictures.

Am stationed here, PM for additional info if needed.

We are staying at the Luxor and we plan on seeing the Blue Man Group. We wanted to see it last time we were there but ran out of time.

BTW, this site had some great tips.

Dr. Naughty is an X-Rated show featuring a hypnotist that pulls crazy ass stunts, like getting people to take their clothes off and stuff. The ads specifically say for adults only.

Escape to Atlantis is a motion ride at the Forum Shopping Mall in Caesar's Palace. It was ok, I liked the Star Trek thing better at the LV Hilton. Definitely check out the Forum Mall though, it's pretty cool with timed animatronic shows.

For buffets I would reccomend you get all the visitors guides you can find.... they usually have coupons for meals in their casinos. I was there about 6 months ago and I found a Buy 1 get 1 free at the MGM Grand Buffet....

There are a lot of things to do here for not too much money. The shows will cost $65 and up pp, so I would pass on those. If you want to drink cheaply, play the nickle slots because they still give free drinks if you play those. Tip the waitress a buck per drink and she will be back before you can finish your first drink.

There are many cool things to see, like the shark tank in Mandalay Bay ($8 per, I think), the IMAX theatre in the Luxor is pretty cool too. If you are into video games or pool, go to Gameworks across from NY NY. The carnival show (free) in the Rio is cool, and make sure to go to the top to the balcony, great view.

Most of the shopping malls (in the casinos) are fun just to walk around in, and there is usually "street performers" in all of them.

Hmmmm.... If you want to see one of the nations top rock climbing areas, Red Rock Canyon is 15 miles due west of the strip, great place to go for a hike or just drive the loop through there. Make sure you see the fountain show at the Bellagio, it is great, and free.

I just saw that you are going to see the Blue Man Group, that was the best show I have seen yet, aside from Cirque de Solei. Blue Man is funny and entertaining for the entire show, you will love it.

PS I live here as well.
