2 partitions.

guy makes two partitions..installs XP on one and uses second for whatever. decides he doesnt like the second and wants to make them 1 with eachother. how does he do it? only way is to reformat and fdisk? or can partition magic be used to solve this problem?

I used partition magic 7.0 to merge 2 FAT32 partitions and it changed them to RAW and I had to spend hours recovering my data.

But it could have been me, I haven't tried it again or with newer versions, maybe someone else can shed some light.

Partition Magic can do it. As always, when messing with your data, a backup is wise.

I converted my FAT32 partition to NTFS and merged it with my Primary NTFS partition using Partition Magic 8.0 last month...

Worked pretty smoothly... for me :)
