2 old computer games

Both of these games I remember playing on the computer 10 or more years ago.

In the first game, I think you are a detective. I don't remember much, but I do remember there was this clown. Eventually you find the clown melted in a trash can? I think his eyeballs surface too, but I could be wrong..

The other game is a point-and-click adventure, like Myst I think. I remember that there was this weird transportation system whe you stepped into a big blue ball that brought you around. I don't remember much besides that..

Any help remembering these games is appreciated. 😀

I'm willing the bet the 2nd game is The Dig, by Lucasarts. There was a whole transportation system that used a superfast blue ball.

God, watching those Dig youtube clips really brought back some memories. What a fantastic game! The story's so much superior to the kind of tripe we have nowadays.

The first game is a Tex Murphy game, and the second one was dig.

The music from that dig clip brought back so many memories.

We need more games like the old days..

They found out the Star Wars games made money and they've been riding that horse into the ground.

They even let go of the guy who would later go on the make Psychonaughts.

The people who made the Tex Murphy series are making a new game called Three Cards to Midnight. I don't know too much about it, but I came accross it while looking for the specific Tex Murphy game you were talking about. It looks like it will actually be a well done modern adventure game. I just bought Psychonaughts off Steam because I heard he worked on Full Throttle. I got 15 minutes in before work this morning and it looks pretty fun so far! 🙂
