Yep, just saw these this morning while doing my usual shopping spree...

JustCom 2-port PS/2 KVM
$16 + - $16 MIR = FAR + $6.50 s&h

JustCom USB 2.0 4-Port Hub
$10 - $10 MIR = FAR + $6.50 s&h

I realize shipping may kill the deal a little, but maybe Newegg will adjust that later this week or something. You never know.

I don't know anything about the products, just happened to see them at what looks to be a decent price.

What other cables are needed with this?

Also, note the survey you have to fill out to get the rebate -- it asks for lots of personal information.

I'm pretty sure it comes with all the cables built in. It's not the type where you can use any cables you want.

Ya, I forgot about those rebate questions.

I'm suprised more companies don't do it. Easy way to force people to fill out surveys and such. In the end though, it will just cause more and more people to NOT buy the product simply because the demands for the rebate are too high...

I already hate rebates as it is. Now I need to do a survey before it will even allow me to get a stinkin' rebate? No thanks.

And yes, I know I can just fake the survey, but that's besides the point.

Don't see what the big deal about filling out a survey. A few basic questions and it's not like your giving them your e-mail address so they can Spam you. They are giving you a rebate that gives you their product for free. Before you complain about the rebate maybe you could actually DL the pdf file and read the questions for yourself. Your level of education, your income range, your gender, and so forth; really sensitive stuff for some I guess.

Don't wish to thread crap. A KVM for $6.50 shipped is a good deal.

But... I wish retailers would stop with the exagerated deal lie when they are just moving thier costs into thier shipping price. $6.50 for shipping that 2 oz. packaged piece of plastic. Cut me a break.

Yeh so NewEgg is probably making money on shipping this. They are probably also making money on the item as well since the manufacturer is paying the rebate. Consider that shipping costs also include supplies and labor besides the actual cost to ship an item. And NewEgg is in business to make money, so this is a good deal for them and the consumer. It's probably only a good deal for the manufacturer if the people purchasing the product like it enough to buy other products from them.

Don't know about you guys but, Newegg has some of the most honest shipping rates around. $6.50 seems almiost like a minimum charge for shipping something via their carrier of choice, FedEx. If they used USPS, this would be a slightly different story but, they are more honest with their shipping than most e-tailers.

True, but the manufacturer is paying the rebate. I think Newegg should bite the bullet and take less than 100% profit.

These were out of stock, but some more just came in. The rebate works on orders until july 31st so there is still a little time left. I got one of each!

Sizzling hot! A little survery isn't going to hurt much. I mean you're getting stuff for free. Shipping is shipping, as long as it's reasonable and who's going to tell me that $6.50 isn't reasonable shipping when it's Fed-ex. It'll cost me almost that much to drive to Fry's and that doesn't include sitting in traffic!

I ordered one. Shipping is now $7. Still a good deal.

I just hope the cables are long enough. The two computers I want to hook up are not sitting right next to each other.

Thx...just ordered one for myself. can see it useful as I have a spare gfx card...

monitor 1 runs as primary for 1st and 2nd computer

a second monitor 2 which used to be running for 2nd computer could now be used as a secondary display for computer 1

Useful, and worth the $7

Does anyone know if the USB hub comes with a power adapter - newegg description says it's optional but the package itself has a big violet sticker with "free power adapter, see inside"...

Anyone knows? Thanks...

FYI, if you thought you missed out-
They've extended the Rebate on the "JustCom 2-Port Cable PS/2 KVM Switch":
KVM Switch
AND the "USB 2.0 4-port Hub":
KVM Hub
Man am I glad, as I forgot to order the KVM before 7/31-doh!

OK..... Bought both of these, USB hub is very nice looking, the only grudge is high-gloss plastic - while it looks nice, it's very prone to fingerprints...

Now, both rebate forms ask for a serial number, anybody knows which one is that? The one that starts with "C/E" or with "17-"? Anyone? I need to know that to submit the rebates... Thank you...
