I'm not sure about the parts and everything... but I got 2 system setups I'm thinking of right now.
his primary use is for just story lots and lots of business stuff... includes lots of pictures using corel draw, as well as floor plans and stuff like that.
setup1:
P4 - 2Ghz socket478
asus mb (one with DDR & 6ch audio)
512MB DDR infineon
Maxtor 7200rpm 40GB (Primary)
Maxtor 5400rpm 160GB (Secondary)
Pioneer 16x DVD
Hercules GF3 TI200 64MB w/dvi
Enlight case
MS Keyboard + Mouse
d-link 10/100 network card
setup2:
AMD XP2000
asus DDR something mobo
Hercules Fortissimo II audio
Enlight 7237 + Enermax 350watts PSU
everything else the same.
the AMD would definately save me a bit of money over the P4-2ghz. from what I understand, speed difference is minimal, stability is equal. So far, everything is going for the AMD system, but I'm afraid my uncle my cringe on the fact I got him an EXPENSIVE non-Intel system. so should I be watching out for bugs in particular with either setup?
and would you suggest something better?
