2 Nero Questions

I bought a Sony CD-RW CRX175E yesterday OEM with no drivers, all I got from the retailer was a program called Nero allready installed
and have a couple of questions they did not clarify:

- An extra SCSI CD-ROM drive of a type "imagedrive" appears, but I have no such hardware.

- A program loads at startup called NeroCheck.exe

Somebody knows about this and would be willing to help me please ?

The "image drive" is there so you can image a CD directly to your hard drive. Don't worry about it, it's something you don't have to try if you just want to burn CDs like normal.

The Nero check thing I don't know about, but if there's no apparent problem with it I wouldn't worry about it. Have you checked the Nero side for more on that? Find the main website here
 
More than likely the version of Nero that came with your drive has already been updated. You should be able to upgrade and kill two birds in one stone.
