2 modems?

Is is possible to have two modems? I have three computers connected through a router that goes into a motorolla sb5100. Can i connected another computer to the internet through another cable modem?

yes; it works even better if you set them up in an SLI setup! One upstream and one downstream!



actually I think it is possible if your cable service provider allows more than one modem. it seems like it works a lot like Dual Core processors though, from the link that Jack provided.

You would have to have two cable lines into your house for a start, then get a device to load balance the connections, which would all be expensive. Much easier to just get a single faster connection and plug everything into that.

It a actually half-a** works. I can connect to aim, but comcast wants me to activate the modem inorder to browse the internet.
