Once in a while a WU has so much RFI that the SETI client simply can't process it. When this happens, you get a 2-3 minute WU. You'll still get credit for it, though.

I've had bunches of 'em below 1 min....sure helps the avg out, LOL. :D

EDIT - Hell, it helps make up for the stinkers they send you on occassion, i.e. wu's that take 50% longer than normal.

Out of 153 work units, I've only had two short ones :)( ) from my 800MHz Duron, being 35 and 32 seconds long.

Well that's nice, I don't even know how to find the processing time of a WU.

lol
Are you running any 3rd party programs with Seti? I use SetiSpy and that gives a good indication of WU times.

You could send it through a setiqueue proxy. That's how I know that my shortest is 5 minutes.

Although, I think I had one before that under a minute.

/Are you running any 3rd party programs with Seti?/

Just SetiDriver. I think I'll d/l the Spy and try it out, thanks ShotgunSi. :)

/You could send it through a setiqueue proxy/

Thanks Logix, but I don't have to much trouble dumping early in the morning and I keep about 15 days of WU's on hand for each machine.

I'd rather leave the proxy's for the members with problems getting to Berkeley!:frown:
