My order was cancelled also. I have sent a complaint to Amazon.com and convienently gave them a link to their standing at the BBB.org. I wonder what kind of response I will get? I'll keep you posted.

BTW: In NY, if a supermarket lists the wrong price in an add, they have to honor that price for (1) item. So, it doesn't help the guys who try and buy 50, but it protects the guy who goes through the effort to get one of what he wanted.

let us know if you hear anything back from amazon, personally I'm going to wait for the micra's to ship probably and then see what can be done

my problem with this is, on the ladder (maybe the leatherman too) they had a little purple logo that said "77% off" or something like that. maybe that is automated; i dunno.

If you want my hunch they sell a few dozen items at a reduced price to increase its visibility in the sales ranking, facilitating more sales. In this case I think someone was asleep at the wheel.

I routinely see them discount a product that is holiday-centric briefly so it puts it in the top ten sellers for that department. In this instance I bet they wanted the leatherman in the top ten for father's day.

Cancelled too.

Oh well, the order appeared to be too good to be true.

I've around these forums for a few years - you can get PO'd all you want at Amazon - it won't change much.....stuff happens.....

they will not cancel your order until it in the shipping process ...................

everybody call call Amazon and complain 1-800-201-7575 .... drive em nuts maybe they will then ship your order

they don't want bad press !!!!!

Micra got cancelled, too.

Well, at least it was a personal message. I will most likely write back and say that I have no reason to keep shopping there if they do not honor what they say. I could understand if they said that they had an error and honored all of the orders, up until they realized it and started to fix the error. That would be fair. To flat out say, " we screwed up, and we don't care" is BS. I do realize that the deal was quite possibly 'to good to be true', but I would like to think that the people who scour websites and let us know 'great deals' when they find them aren't completely wasting their time.

Of course I will still shop there when it suits me, but I see no reason to give a little resistance to the notion that you can make a mistake and then have ZERO reprocussions from it. I will probably send back an email stating that I although it might be commonplace to completely remove yourself from being responsible for your actions in todays world, that isn't the type of person that I am, or who I would want to do business with in the future.

That should have the same effect on Amazon as my letter to Angelina Jolie in which I expressed to her my unwillingness to date her due to her behavior which may or may not have caused the breakup of Jen and Brad...
