If they took off your large leatherman and kept your small micra on your order. Don't cancel, wait for them to ship then dispute the charge.

yeah.... mine got cancelled also... wonder if we can call in and complain for a shot at a free coupon... 🙂 its a long shot. only happened once for me.

hmm, yeah thats odd, I mean, they only cancelled the wave for me, said the micra is still coming and charged 9.99 for them... I didn't do anything yet.

Take notice people, this is why you DO NOT post deals that you find other places. The less people that see it, the better chance it has of going through
What a stingy, crappy attitude. The whole point of the forum is to share the deals. You're crying like a baby over nothing.

If you don't like the way people in this forum behave, don't participate in it. Find your own deals.

Ditto.

I agree with holding out on deals until you are sure that your purchase has shipped. No sense fvckin up a good find. Once yours has shipped then post away.

I sent them an email and got a generic response. I'm pissed at amazon now, its like bait and switch without letting us know.

Got the same email.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, because my order is still intact. I just got in under the wire before the deal got pulled originally.

View your shipping statement online... I never got the email, only a chopped order for the Micra only.

this is so wrong....although their site has a disclamier, they should be sued.

an offer was made, tender was given or placed....contract is made.

what a bunch of butts,

anyone feel up to a class action>

My order was cancelled also. I have sent a complaint to Amazon.com and convienently gave them a link to their standing at the BBB.org. I wonder what kind of response I will get? I'll keep you posted.

BTW: In NY, if a supermarket lists the wrong price in an add, they have to honor that price for (1) item. So, it doesn't help the guys who try and buy 50, but it protects the guy who goes through the effort to get one of what he wanted.

Don't like the way they treated you?

That's not really fair. I have yet to see a single online retailer that honors price mistakes. Amazon is probably one of the best online retailers I've dealt with and again keep in mind that mistakes happen.
Ohh yeah? Give me your email address and I will send you the cancellation email from BestBuy.com in which I ordered (3) Minolta 3.3MP Digital Cameras for $100 each. The sent me an email stating that the price was supposed to be $100 off, not $100 total. I recieved all three cameras, kept one, and gave the other 2 to my sisters. In that case, I opted for the '2-day delivery' and by the time I was composing my reply email, the cameras were delivered!

Ahhh, I still have that email... Here it is:
"Dear Best Buy Customer,

Thank you for your recent digital camera order.

A recent systems error on our web site allowed you
to purchase the Minolta Dimage S304 3.34-Megapixel Digital Camera at
$100.00. The actual price for this item is $499.99 ($599.99 - $100 instant
savings). Due to the nature of this error, we have canceled your order for
this item. We apologize for any disappointment this cancellation may cause.

We are happy to inform you that the error has been
fixed, and if you are still interested in ordering this product, we
encourage you to visit http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11097249
(...I had to edit out the 'specific' link...) and place your order again.
The $100 instant savings will be available through January 31, 2002.

Thank you for your understanding. Please do not
hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Best wishes from Best Buy,
The Customer Care Team"

I would have been fine with them only shipping me one camera at the price they listed, but the 'extra' money I paid for 'express' shipping was more then worth it that time!

That's an awesome deal you got in on, but that just reiterates my point. Best Buy did not honor the price mistake. So the lesson is that if you are getting in on a deal with a price error, opt for next day shipping
