2 Leadtek Geforce 6600 GT PCI in SLi -vs- XFX Geforce 7900 GT 470MHz xtreme

Which would be faster? I currently have the 2 6600 GTs in SLi and I was thinking of upgrading but I want to know if getting a 7900 GT 470 MHz will be a sigificant improvement in speed over my current setup.

The 7900gt can be up to 2-3 faster than a 6600gt sli in some of the new games.

7900GT by miles & miles & miles.... plus the fact if you get a 7900GT u have to do the 1.4v conductive pen mod!!!

Sweet, I think i'll pick up 2 of them then. One today and one next week. I really want to be able to play Tomb Raider: Legend at a high resolution with the Next Generation feature enabled.

Whats the 1.4v conductive pen mod? I stopped overclocking and modding a long time ago. Haven't kept up on that stuff.

Basically, once you do the mod and up the voltage on this thing, you can achieve core clocks in the 700MHz range.

u are comparing Geforce 7900GT 24 Pixelpipeline with Geforce 6600GT SLI 16 Pixelpipelines.
and the 7900GT comes with new technology , new core , low tempurature , less power .
