I picked one up, since most of the reviews I have been reading online the last few weeks are all good things aside from keyboard size, and battery life. But Acer is coming with a 6cell soon so woot!

Office Depot is going to have the model with 160GB drive for the same price starting Sunday, Feb 1. SKU 996-555. Front page of the 2/1 ad which is already available for viewing online.

Acer® Aspire® One AOA150-1635 8.9" Widescreen Netbook Computer With Intel® Atom? Processor N270, Sapphire Blue
8.9'' SCREEN
1GB MEMORY
160GB HARD DRIVE
- Windows® XP Home, webcam with microphone, Wireless-B/G networking
Model AOA150-1635

pertty nice deal. I just bought the s10e deal the other day... but this would be compelling as well with more ram and hard drive (smaller screenthough)

if you have a bestbuy near you you can try it out.

i think the keyboard is a bit small if you have bigger hands (i have had an msi wind, and tried the lenovo and they are bigger). my hands are pretty big so its some what cramp inducing from trying it at best buy, though i could see someone with smaller hands not caring as much.

the layout is better than the wind though. the wind has annoyingly 1/2 size period and comma keys (which is why i sold it)

thanx for the input. From the reviews I read, it looks like (sizewise) Wind > s10 > Acer. I think I'm going to go for the s10, which is also @ $299.

I have an Acer Aspire One which I picked up for cheap a few months ago. It's really a great machine. The keyboard is a little small, but after adjusting I can still type fast. The screen is great. The machine just feels solid. The ONLY recommendation I'd make is to splurge for a six cell battery. 5.5 hrs of battery life is sweet 🙂

This should be the 6-cell version and if priced at $299, it's a very sweet deal!

..battery life is important and going to a larger screen would be a batt killer. Costco had these before x-mas and they sold out quick.

According to Amazon.com, it has a 3-cell battery.

I don't mind the eight inch screen that much and I'd much rather have the extended battery life versus the larger screen. The display, even at 8 inches, is very crisp and with some clever space savers like auto-hide task bar, full screen browsing, etc it's a pretty darn nice internet machine.
