2 Inputs on a LG L226WTQ Monitor

Hi all

I have thought of the idea to bring 2 PC's ,or 1 PC and a console to my monitor. I've got a LG L226WTQ.
Basically i think it would be convenient to switch both inputs, cause one PC of mine is almost always ocupied by applications.

The LG has a VGA and a DVI input ,so connecting them wont be a problem. But before i do that, i wanna be sure that i dont destroy anything.
I dont find a button on my monitor to select the input, it does it automatically. Or can you only switch by software, via DVI?
Has anyone done that before? Perhaps with another Monitor? Please share your experience. thanks!

I have the l226wt, which should be the same as yours and theres a button called source. That changes the input your using

However, if you wanna get serious about using one display & two PCs, get a KVM switch.

AHh right i have a button called "source" . DIdnt know the purpose and the manual is very quiet. Atm it just puts the monitor blank when i use it

A switch like that might be useful too. For sharing keyboard and mouse too i take it? I have to examine those abit, cause my mouse is USB, and not PS2.
thanks for the answers guys
