Australia requires prior Government approval, other Nations have their various unique requirements to foreign ownership of Property, and pretty much everywhere has a limit as to how long you can stay in such a Property without attaining certain status(Citizenship or special Residency papers).
Yes, but only the US allows any citizen from any country to purchase, without even obtaining residency, almost any parcel of property
in fee simple. No limit to how long you have to live there, no requirement that you even have to live there at all, no immigration status required. If you have the cash, you can buy, and you don't even need government approval. Only the big, bad, bigoted, evil, great satan US allows that. How else could illegal immigrats be awarded real property in the US?
Would your "enlightened" Canada allow that? Hell fscking no. A foreign national cannot purchase real property in Canada except with government permission, legal immigration status, and intention to reside on the property for a given length of time (or for at least a certain number of months out of every year).
Hmm... why don't we discuss Canada's immigration policies? Let's see. First, Canada only allows white people and some Asians capable of buying their way to immigrate there. This isn't official policy of course, but is more or less factual (blacks make up less than 2% of the total population). Short of a $1 million US net worth, or a solid high-profile job offer with a Canadian corporation, immigration into Canada is almost impossible. Illegal immigrants are dealt with in a fashion that can only be referred to as draconian. They certainly aren't allowed to stay, like in the US (where even trying to deal with the illegal immigration problem is hypocritically referred to as bigoted). All this, and Canada has the 2nd lowest population density of any country on earth.
Canada = 32 million people / 3,849,674 sq mi = 8.3 persons per sq mi
US = 285 million people / 3,717,796 sq mi = 76.7 persons per sq mi
Only Australia is lower than Canada with 20 million / 2,939,974 sq mi = 6.8 per sq mi
So kindly butt out of our immigration problem, eh? Before we realize just how much room you have and send them all up to you.
